Y en cuanto a los poetas extranjeros, definitivamente la que más me emociona es Ambar Past, de la que espero hablar pronto, pero como adelanto, para quien no lo sepa, Ambar me encanta. Es poeta, ensayista, transcriptora, traductora, artista gráfica, diseñadora de libros-arte, editora, ecóloga, madre y mujer. De ascendencia polaca y cherokee, nació en 1949 en los EUA;y emigró a México cuando tenía mi edad, 23 años, donde adquierió la nacionalidad mexicana en 1985. Radica en Chiapas desde hace más de tres décadas, principalmente en parajes rurales donde aprendió el tsotsil maya. Fue becaria y alumna del poeta Jaime Sabines. Ha sabido recopilar gran parte de la poesía oral de las mujeres mayas. Y si digo que me emocioné es porque tanto la respeto y me gusta su visión frente a la vida que incluso desde mucho antes, en un poema mío llamado Pertenencias (de Va por cuenta del destino) la menciono. Y ahora Ambar no sólo conocerá mi poema sino que lo escuchará de mi propia boca.
