Esta foto me la saqué en el baño de la que fue la habitación del poeta Allen Ginsberg en el Hotel Boheme, ubicado en la Av. Columbus, en North Beach, donde yo también tuve noches de aullidos, jazz y poesía, y quizá hasta espanté a más de un espíritu. En la pared estaba colgada esta fotografía cuya leyenda -escrita por el mismo Ginsberg- dice: Bob Donlon (Rob Donelly, Kerouac´s Dessolation Angels), Neal Cassady, myself, painter Robert La Veigne & poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti in front of City Lights Bookstore. Broadway & Columbus, North Beach, San Francisco. 1955. Donlon worked seasonally Las Vegas waiter, Neal looks good in T shirt. Howl. First printing hadn´t arrived from England yet, Peter Orlovsky held camera in the street. We were just hanging around.
